Neurotoxins, including Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, are wrinkle relaxers used to treat facial wrinkles caused by muscle contraction. These work well for smoothing the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet. Off-label, they are used to soften lines around the mouth and for a “lip flip” to reduce the appearance of a gummy smile. Results can be expected within approximately 4-7 days, with full effect being seen at 14 days. It is common to come back for a second appointment to achieve desired results.
